Make your hair clips last longer.

1Wash gently

Rinse with cold water and a single drop of baby shampoo. No scrubbing, no twisting — the spring mechanism is delicate.

2Air-dry only

Lay flat on a clean towel away from direct sun, hairdryers, and radiators. Heat warps the hinge and dulls the finish.

3Store flat

Keep them in a small pouch, never tangled with rubber bands. Elastic leaches chemicals that corrode the spring.

Don't do this

• Forcing the clip fully open on thick hair.
• Wearing them in the shower or pool.
• Storing them loose in a handbag with keys.
